Dots and Dashes

Life Drawing

Most of my life drawings are pencil or charcoal but when I see a pose that really catches me I pull out the watercolours and get the image down in 20 minutes. It’s fast and loose, 20 minutes isn’t much but I think it creates some of the best work I produce.

These are simply beautiful…such a mastery of watercolor…especially with figure.

    • thanks, watercolour does lend itself to expressive nudes when done loosely.

I really love your work & wish I could be so loose. Do you paint wet on wet, or wet on dry or both? I also like your watercolour pencil sketches, painted with watercolour. I presume you use the watercolour pencils for the paintwork?
