Being married to a piper means I listen to lots of bagpipes…which I love. This image represents the MacGilivray Pipe Band marching in one of their many concerts.

An Epic Journey
I’ve been a bit negligent with the upkeep of this blog however for good reason, I put my art work on the back burner and devoted the summer to a long sought destination…the Arctic Ocean in Northern Alaska by motorcycle. It was an incredible journey to a unique part of the continent filled with warm people, cool temperatures and thousands of miles of gravel road adventures. I can’t help but think that some essence of Alaska will find it’s way into my paintings, for now here are a few pictures of the trip of my lifetime.
Salmom Glacier, 22 miles of ice winding through the mountains.
Top of the World Highway, spectacular remote views.
Near McCarthey, southeast Alaska, my campsite beside the glacial river.
Top of the Atigun Pass after climbing off the north slope and leaving the tundra behind.<a
Prudhoe Bay, end of the Haul Road north, where the cold winds blow in off the Arctic Ocean and the sun shines at midnight.
Celebrating a trip to the Artic Ocean with a beer in Coldfoot Alaska.
